Save the Children is working hard to fight all forms of the sexual abuse of children and adolescents.
In 2001, we therefore established the AnmeldDet (ReportIt) hotline, where concerned citizens can anonymously report child sexual abuse material that they have encountered online. And every single report is important in the fight to stop the digital sexual abuse of children.
Since it was established, our hotline has dealt with more than 80.000 reports, and we continue to work tirelessly to remove illegal abuse images with children and to stop the distribution of child sexual abuse material.
We act quickly and effectively
We have partners around the entire world in order to effectively remove the illegal websites and file sharing folders that citizens report to us. This international cooperation means that we can typically remove child sexual abuse materials within 72 hours.
